First edition. A rare and attractive publication, printed in a wide landscape format. In 2009 Houge was nominated for the Prix Pictet for this striking series recording human encroachment in this inhospitable environment: a Russian/Ukrainian settlement on Svalbard (Philip Pullman fans take note!). Probably printed in a very small number of copies: I’ve never seen another one. A nearly fine copy in the original stapled wrappers.
